The ends of sari garments, which would otherwise be wasted, are recuperated, cut, and connected to create one continuous silk or chiffon ribbon. Beautiful textural elements, raw and sometimes frizzy edges, and non uniform colours with surprising pops give these ribbons aesthetic depth and make them perfect fibres for many different creative applications: -weaving -macraweaving -tassel making -floral arranging -giftwrapping -macrame -dreamcatchers -jewelry making -floral bouquets I decided to supply these ribbons in my shop because I started using them in my own fibre art and loved the texture and depth they brought to my work. You will love the versatility and charisma of this recycled fiber. These sari silks differ from the chiffon silk ribbons in that they are slightly more robust and shiny. —Each skein weighs approximately 100g —The width of the ribbon, when completely unfolded, is about 1” —The total length of each skein is approximately 115 feet PLEASE NOTE: The intention and appeal of this fibre is in its non-uniformity.
