Etch Primer (1 Ounce Bottle with Brush) Etch Primer self etches to bare metal, aluminum and fiberglass surfaces to promote maximum adhesion and smoothness of the top coat. The Etch Primer Bottle with Brush allows you to quickly and conveniently coat clean bare metal spots and nicks to help prevent rusting.

Designed for use on clean bare metal, previously coated or lightly rusted metal. This primer is compatible with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust brand finishes. This primer is not compatible with top coats that contain strong solvents such as automotive finishes. White clean metal primer covers approximately 550 Sq. Ft. per gallon at 1 mil. dry or 275 Sq. Ft. per gallon at 2 mils. dry. Dries to touch in 2 to 4 hours, to handle in 5 to 9 hours, and to recoat in 24 hours.
