Note: oils extracted from bark, resins, roots of trees, or plants will NOT work with a nebulizer because these oils are too thick and will cause clogging. Therefore, for inhalation, use these thicker essential oils ONLY with a diffuser. Read our FAQ page for the list of essential oils which are not recommended to use with a nebulizer. Diffusion Oregano is steam distilled from the herb commonly used in cooking and widely spread in the Mediterranean region. It is used for improving conditions of the upper and lower respiratory tract  (colds, flu) as well as other ailments.  Energy booster: diffusing the oil can help combat the general lack of energy and even chronic levels of fatigue. Antibacterial: oregano oil contains natural antibacterial compounds such as thymol. When diffused with a nebulizer it cleanses the body and the air by killing off harmful germs and bacteria. Topical Application Body detox: the compounds in Oregano can support the actions of the liver, which is responsible for detoxifying the body. It can irritate the skin; therefore it should always be diluted when applied to the skin. Use a few drops of oil diluted in your favorite carrier oil for a massage on the liver area, or in a warm bath for a therapeutic and relaxing experience. Bones strength: oregano oil contains vital minerals and calcium, which are necessary to maintain strong bones. Massage with diluted oil or add a few drops to bathwater to absorb some of its healing properties.  Other Uses Internal Use: add 1-2 drops to your water or tea to improve heartburn and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), and fight against germs and viruses in general.  Culinary Uses*: add only ONE drop of oil to savory recipes for a burst of flavor, which is much better than using dry oregano because the flavor is more intense. In the process of drying herbs, many molecules of oils found in plants evaporate, which means dry herbs have less therapeutic benefits than oils, which are the concentrated essence of the plant. So just dilute it first with olive oil or coconut oil to ensure the flavor gets dispersed throughout the whole dish. One drop of oil is the equivalent of 1-2 Tbsp. of dry herbs or spices or 1–2 tsp of fresh herbs. Do not use undiluted on skin, eyes, or mucous membranes; it could cause allergic reactions. Always test first on a small portion of your skin. If you are pregnant, consult with a healthcare provider/ professional experienced with essential oils as some essential oil are less tolerated while others are well-loved by pregnant women. Storage and Handling: the shelf life of most ESSENTIAL OILS is usually around 1 year after they're opened, and up to 2 years when unopened; some oils such as Sandalwood, Frankincense, and a few other woody oils will last longer as they're thicker and more concentrated. All essential oils oxidize and are subject to lose their therapeutic value and aromatic quality in time. Essential oils benefit from proper storage and handling. Avoid keeping essential oils in a location that is prone to sudden temperature changes such as the bathroom or kitchen. Store them in a cool, dark place, away from heat and light.   Why Buy from Us Herba Terra Organics is among the few companies is the US that offers an entire line of USDA certified organic essential oils, plus there are several other great reasons to buy from us.
