Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold — a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections.
KINTSUGI POTTERY PROJECT
In this workshop, we will select our pottery vase, and break it intentionally. We will glue the pieces back together and paint gold leaf where the cracks are, highlighting the beauty of imperfection. Kintsugi teaches you that your broken places make you stronger and better than ever before, so while you will definitely leave with an actual pottery piece you made and love, you will experience a much deeper journey with your fellow classmates as you navigate your own expectations of perfection.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
This is an adults only class. The studio is BYOB, so please feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy or share!
We know from experience that women tend to be chatty, so we are building in arrival + chat time from 6:30-7pm, but the workshop will begin promptly at 7pm, so please be ready to be in your seat and ready to make magic by 7 at the latest.
